California Frameless Shower Door LLC recently relocated to Maui after 12 years of successful operation in New Jersey, and over 20 years in Southern California. The experience, expertise and cutting-edge techniques behind the company date back to the summer of 1983.

That fateful summer, Craig (Scott) Abraham, the founder and owner of California Frameless Shower Door, entered the glass industry, taking a summer job while in high school in Westminster, California; From that point onward, he has been enthralled with glass, and has striven to learn all aspects of the business, from commercial storefront applications to residential installations of all types.

Scott is a true artist and thrives on the creative process. As such, he has had a keen desire to excel in the areas of heavy glass showers, mirrors, frameless glass wind walls and handrailings – the key aspects of his work that are required to transform his client’s homes from ordinary into spectacular! Over the past 32 years, Scott has honed his skills in these areas to a level of excellence worthy of the finest homes.

From the finest homes in Southern California and New Jersey, to prestigious commercial properties like the Ritz-Carlton Maui, the quality of Scott’s work has set him apart time and again. In fact, the contractor who worked on the Ritz-Carlton remodeling project was so impressed with his work after the initial job at the Maui location, that they employed Scott and his team at three other Ritz-Carlton locations in San Francisco, Marina Del-Rey and Puerto Rico.

Scott’s philosophy mirrors that of all good artists–if you do not take a moment to admire the job (your work) once it is completed, you are probably in the wrong business! True artists appreciate the creative process and the product of that effort. This philosophy is reflected in everything Scott does; and is the reason that he prefers to perform all installations personally, thereby ensuring that every detail meets with his high standards.

It was also in Southern California that Scott developed a unique measuring system employing a self-leveling laser that facilitates extremely accurate shower enclosure measurements. This revolutionary system is the foundation of California Frameless Shower Door, as it allows for heavy glass shower enclosures with the least amount of metal possible. Such installations result in a very clean look, as if the enclosure glass is literally coming out of the wall. This laser system is also used to accomplish similarly accurate results with glass railings and wind walls.

Glass is not the only element Scott has mastered. He is equally as fastidious with mirrors, having worked with and designed mirror installations since the summer of 1983. Scott learned the tedious measuring and layout techniques, as well as fabrication and installations from one of the best in the business.



So…….why did Scott leave beautiful Southern California for the cold climate of New Jersey? That one is easy…his blushing bride insisted! Well, sort of, his wife Theresa is from Philadelphia. And soon after marrying her he relocated to the East Coast. But the sunsets of Hawaii kept calling. So, Scott and Theresa began planning their move to Maui. Twelve long years later they were able to make it a reality; and are looking forward to a long, happy life on the island. Living the Maui-life is a dream-come-true!
